Proto-Tsezian: *ʁ:ʷel
Meaning: doe
Ginukh: ʁʷil
Gunzib: ʁel (Gunz.)
Proto-Tsezian: *ʁ:ʷǝdǝ
Meaning: rain
Khvarshi: ʁʷada
Inkhokvari: ʁodo
Bezhta: wodo
Gunzib: wǝdǝ
Comments: PTsKh *ʁʷǝdǝ (in Inkh. also means 'sky'), PGB *wǝdǝ.
Proto-Tsezian: *ʁ:ʷǝdǝ
Meaning: 1 day 2 tomorrow
Tsezi: ʁudi 1, ʁude 2
Ginukh: ʁʷede 1
Khvarshi: ʁʷade (Radzhibov)
Inkhokvari: ʁode 2
Bezhta: wodo 1
Gunzib: wǝdǝ 1
Comments: PTsKh *ʁʷǝdǝ; PGB *wǝdǝ. The root is homonymic with PTs *ʁ:ʷǝdǝ 'rain' (q.v.), which is most probably accidental (cf. different parallels in Laki).
Proto-Tsezian: *ʁ:ʷǝ̃j
Meaning: dog
Tsezi: ʁIʷaj
Ginukh: ʁʷe
Khvarshi: ʁʷe
Inkhokvari: ʁIʷẽ
Bezhta: wo
Gunzib: wǝ
Comments: PTsKh *ʁIʷǝ̃j; PGB *wǝ, obl. *wǝj- (cf. Bezht. woj-, Gunz. wǝj- ).
Proto-Tsezian: *ʁ:ʷǝn
Meaning: 1 tree 2 forest 3 bush
Tsezi: ʁun 1,3
Khvarshi: ʁwan 1
Inkhokvari: ʁon 1
Bezhta: wan 2
Gunzib: hɔn 2
Comments: PTsKh *ʁʷǝn (cf. also Tsez. Asakh. ʁʷin ); PGB *hɔn / *wɔn (the Gunz. word also means 'board').
Proto-Tsezian: *ʁ:ʷ[ǝ]nV
Meaning: 1 hornless animal 2 hornless goat
Tsezi: ʁIuni 1 (Kid.)
Ginukh: ʁuni 1
Bezhta: ʁana 2 (Khosh.)
Comments: PTsKh (*ʁʷVne ) > *ʁune.
Proto-Tsezian: *ʁ:ʷǝrɔ
Meaning: 1 cows (collect.) 2 cow
Tsezi: ʁuro 1
Ginukh: ʁʷero 2
Khvarshi: ʁʷalo 1
Inkhokvari: ʁolo 1
Bezhta: wara 2
Gunzib: hɔrɔ 2
Comments: PTsKh *ʁʷǝRo, PGB *wɔrɔ (*hʷɔrɔ ).
Proto-Tsezian: *ʁ:ʷVr-
Meaning: to roar
Bezhta: ʁor-ah- (Tlad.)
Proto-Tsezian: *ʁo(r)
Meaning: ram
Tsezi: -ʁu
Ginukh: -ʁu
Khvarshi: -q̇u
Inkhokvari: -ʁu
Bezhta: χoj
Gunzib: χor
Comments: PGB *χor; cf. also Bezht. Tlad., Khosh. χor. PTsKh *-ʁu in the compound *biƛ̣-ʁu (see *biƛ̣ ).
Proto-Tsezian: *ʁu- ( ~ *ʁ:-)
Meaning: field
Khvarshi: ʁudu (Radzhibov)
Inkhokvari: ʁIudul
Comments: PTsKh *ʁIu-du(l); the word probably reflects an old compound, analogous to that reflected in Tab. χuṭil 'field' (see below).
Proto-Tsezian: *ʁʷimilV (~ *ʁ:ʷ-,r)
Meaning: worm
Tsezi: ʁumeli
Comments: The Tsez. form is isolated (although external parallels are quite reliable), thus the PTs reconstruction is only tentative.
Proto-Tsezian: *hãj(a)
Meaning: 1 bug, bed-bug 2 mosquito
Tsezi: ħaj 2
Ginukh: ħaja 2
Inkhokvari: hãj 1
Gunzib: hahija 1
Comments: PTsKh *hãj(a ). The Gunz. reduplication may be either archaic (an incomplete loss of the EC combination *-rh(w)-), or recent (expressive).
Proto-Tsezian: *hak- ( ~ ħ-)
Meaning: to search, to look
Bezhta: häk-il- (Khosh.)
Gunzib: hak-l-
Comments: PGB *hak-il-.
Proto-Tsezian: *haḳ ( ~ ħ-)
Meaning: 1 tops (of plants) 2 flower
Bezhta: haḳ (Khosh.) 1
Gunzib: haḳ 2
Comments: PGB *haḳ.
Proto-Tsezian: *haḳV- ?
Meaning: yellow
Bezhta: häḳärö
Comments: A Bezht. isolate with unknown etymology.
Proto-Tsezian: *ha-/*ho-
Meaning: a deictic stem
Tsezi: ho-w-da
Ginukh: ha-go
Khvarshi: a-w-du (Radzhibov)
Inkhokvari: a-we-du,o-we-nu
Bezhta: hu-gi,ho-go
Gunzib: ǝ-g, o-gu
Comments: The stem is used only in conjunction with other demonstrative pronouns. Variants *ha-/*ho-/*ʔa-/*ʔo- are present, and although they may go back to different EC stems (with *h- and with *ʔ-) it is very hard to separate them from each other within Tsezian. A front vowel counterpart *ʔe- (ʔẽ-) is present in PTs *ʔẽ-du 'inside' (Tsez. idu 'at home', Khvarsh. ĩdu 'inside', Bezht. Tlad. ẽdö, Khosh. edo, Gunz. ẽdu ) = PA *ħi-nV.
Proto-Tsezian: *Haƛ̣V (~ -ɔ-)
Meaning: waist
Bezhta: coṭar-aƛ̣a-s
Comments: The Bezht. word is a compound with coṭaro 'navel'. In the Tlad. dialect the same word sounds ciṭiraƛ̣as / tic̣iraƛ̣as which is a contamination with tic̣iro 'belt'. The second component (-aƛ̣a-s ) is an archaic noun meaning 'back, waist' (although synchronously the word may be analysed as "situated above the navel" - which is probably a folk etymology).
Proto-Tsezian: *haqu (~-ã-)
Meaning: mouth (inside)
Tsezi: haqu
Ginukh: haqu
Comments: PTsKh *haqu (~-ã-).
Proto-Tsezian: *haq̇ʷa (~ ħ-,ɔ)
Meaning: eyebrow
Bezhta: häq̇ʷä (Khosh.)
Comments: Isolated in Bezht., with some probable external parallels.
Proto-Tsezian: *harih-
Meaning: slow
Ginukh: harihu-n
Comments: Attested only in Gin., but having probable external parallels. [It is not quite clear whether we should also compare PGB *hate ( < *har-te ?) 'slowly', reflected in Gunz. hade, Bezht. Khosh. häte, Tlad. ħäte .]
